While other gambling is mostly about tweaking the edges of a nearly even-money proposition, a straight-up bet is considered a chump play in horseracing, where finding value on overpriced horses is the key.

Craps
Craps is the funnest casino game, but you have to know what you're doing in order not to lose your bankroll too quickly. If you stay focused, and play all the proper bets, the house's advantage is quite small.

Blackjack
Blackjack is one of the easiest games to "play at", but playing it right requires thorough study. Even assuming you make every correct play in every situation, but not cheating by counting cards, the house's advantage is still slightly greater than it is in craps.

Roulette
Roulette is the ideal casino game to play if you plan on drinking a lot. It's fun, fast, and requires little in the way of thinking or strategy. Though the vigorish is greater than that in craps or blackjack, the ease of play makes it probably a better bet for most people than playing one of the aforementioned games with ignorance. Just putting your chips on red or black and hoping for the best ends up, for most people, less costly than playing one of those games poorly.

Poker
This very popular game is more social and psychological match of wits than actual gambling. For those with the right skills, it's definitely the game to play; for the rest of us, stick to penny ante.
